KHEJARLA-PUSHKAR

We did an early morning shoot in Khejarla before heading out. The town is right next to our hotel/fort so it was very convenient. Then we drove to Pushkar. We checked into our Swiss Tents (with hot water, flush toilets, A/C, and several hours of electricity each evening). No wifi of course. The camp is really nice. We have two days here to witness the amazing spectacle called Pushkar Camel Fair, one of the world's largest camel fairs. We headed to the fairgrounds about 3 pm until sunset. It is the wildest, craziest fair I have ever seen!!! Countless camels ambling their way across the golden sands of Rajasthan. Horses marching towards the site of the fair with their masters. Cows wandering everywhere. Men with large colorful turbans. Women wrapped in beautiful saris and jewelry. Children and others aggressively badgering you to buy trinkets (pencils, bracelets, etc.). Besides selling camels and other livestock, there's an area with carnival rides. Sacred Pushkar Lake is also there with wandering holy men. There's also a town and bazar. Don't know how many people are here but thousands and thousands. Dust like you would not believe!!!!!! Never seen anything like it!!

Overnight in the Deluxe Camp.
