I just said goodbye to my Mom on the telephone and learned this is my second trip to Havana. I was there in her tummy 57 years ago. My parents and grandparents vacationed there often in the mid 1950s. My Mom recalls Havana being very glamorous. I bet a lot has changed........
Today I flew to Miami with my friend, Lisa Robbins, who will be joining me on this trip. The flight was short and uneventful. Upon landing in Miami I immediately felt like I was in another country. We spent the night at the Courtyard Marriott Airport South Hotel.
